My friend, Tina, and I went to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum yesterday. It started to rain just before we got there so we had coffee and visited until the rain let up. The waterfalls were running and we got some good shots of water droplets on the flowers. One of the park worker was kind enough to point out a Hawk that was sitting in a tree. He sat and posed for us and then he flew away. It was a good time despite the weather. Here is a link to some of my shots that I posted on Facebook.
Christmas Boat Parade, Lake Havasu City,AZ
Today's How I Took It Photo is one I took at the Christmas Boat Parade in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I was in Manual Mode, F22, 30 Seconds, ISO 100, using a tripod and off camera trigger.
Here is an article about shooting products on a budget. I know that most of you are not product shooters but you can use these techniques for photos for Ebay or Craigslist photos. If you like to do Macro like me, this will help you too. The biggest thing is to get the lighting right.http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/diy-product-photography/
Here is something I have talked about before but it is worth repeating. Be sure to make multiple back ups of your pictures. This article is about a Photographer who lost all of his shots while he was on a hiking trip. I try to have an extra charged battery with me and I make a point to download each night and then reformat my chips. This was not possible for this poor guy.
