Cottonwood

While we waiting for our RV to get repaired we decided to make the best of it and took a drive South from Flagstaff through Sedona to the little town of Cottonwood,   It is located in the beautiful Verde Valley area so the drive down is quite pretty.
We mad a bee line for the Old Town part of town.  We wondered through some of the many gift shops, art galleries and antique shops.  The town was founded in 1879 so there are a lot of cool old buildings to photograph.  I found a cool antique camera at one of the antique shops.

It is a lot less touristy than Sedona which we enjoyed.  The other perk was that it was not as expensive as Sedona is but close enough for a day trip there.  My husband saw a sign for $5.00 Senior Citizen haircuts. He decided to give it a shot and found out you get what you pay for.
The other very fun place to visit that is close by is the old mining town of Jerome.  It would make a nice day ttrip from Cottonwood.
