Give Thanks Week

Like most of the country we are getting things ready for Thanksgiving.  We are staying home this year because my husband is still recovering from his knee surgery.   Thanksgiving is one of the days I really miss my family.  There is always a big family dinner at my parents house for are very large family.
For the first time my husband is putting the turkey into a brine and then he will put in our smoker tomorrow. I am not a big fan using a brine because I don't like that much salt but I am trying to keep an open mind.
Here are some of the best rated All Inclusive Resort based on customer reviews from our friends at Tripadvisor.  I have stayed at the #1 pick and it is beautiful.

The key to getting a really sharp picture is using a tripod and either your shutter timer or a remote trigger so your camera is perfectly still when you take the picture.  You need the right shutter speed and a low ISO setting for all you manual shooters.  Here are some more tips on getting sharp photos from our friends at Picture Correct:

Speaking of Balloon Festivals, the Lake Havasu Balloon Festival is coming up in January.  It was so much fun last year so I am looking forward to it.  If you would like more information on the event, click on the link below:

All About Photography

Sorry it has been so long since my last Blog.  I have been busy with my husband since his surgery.  I have to help with his Physical Therapy every day as well as help my travel clients.   He is getting better every day but it is a slow process.  Not easy for either of us.
I have not been able to get out and take a lot of pictures.  I have managed to take some pictures of our wonderful sunsets but that is about it.
Just in time for the holidays here are some cute gift ideas for the Photo Enthusiasts in your life:

Here are some of the first color photos from the Depression and War II years.  Kind of depressing but interesting at the same time. It is a  history lesson we can share with our children and grandchildren.
